World War Policy and Secret Strategy
of Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ in Battle of Badr
Battle of Badr 12 to 17 Ramadan 2 Hijri 8 to 13 March 624 is the
great and historic battle of Islamic history when Islam and disbelief, truth
and falsehood faced each other directly for the first time. In this historic
battle, the number of children of Islam was one third compared to the infidels.
From the point of view of war resources, the Muslims were apparently very weak
and the collective environment of the Arabian Peninsula was also against them.
Kufr, with all his arrogance and arrogance, came to the field with three times
more army to fight against the face of truth.
But thanks to the help and support of Allah, the supplications of
the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, the defense
and war strategy of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, the
faith, courage and bravery of the Companions, the unparalleled steadfastness,
bravery and passion of faith, the disbelievers and polytheists were able to
make such a decision. What kind of loss did he face that broke his back?
Historians and biographers also call this historic battle as "Badrat
Al-Kabri" and "Badr al-Azmi", while in the Holy Quran it is
remembered as "Yum al-Furqan". That is, the day, in which the
difference between truth and falsehood and guidance and misguidance was
revealed. Truth prevailed and falsehood prevailed.
ANALYSIS AND BACKGROUND:-
As a result of the rise of Islam and Dawat-e-Haq, the society was
divided into two groups. On the one hand they were. Those who accepted the
eternal path of truth and righteousness by responding to the invitation of the
Prophet of Mercy ﷺ. While on the other
hand, there was a whole group of false worshippers. Which was lined up against
the right with all the resources and means. The people of Islam used to say
that they have the right to follow the path they think is best, while the
polytheists of Makkah were adamant that Muslims do not have this right. That
is, they did not recognize the freedom of conscience and belief of Muslims. The
result of their entire struggle, opposition and efforts was to prevent the
people of Islam from the religion of truth and the call to monotheism.
REASONS FOR THE BATTLE OF BADR:-
Historians and biographers have described various religious, political, secular and economic reasons for the Battle of Badr.
- The increasing development of Islam and the spreading of the religion threatened the idolatrous false system of the Quraysh of Makkah.
- During the thirteen-year life of Makkah, the Quraysh infidels continued to inflict endless atrocities on the Muslims. Finally, they were severely punished and forced to migrate.
- The Muslims who were migrating from Makkah to Madinah were subjected to atrocities and their properties were confiscated.
- The infidels of Quraysh were constantly threatening the new abode of the Muslims, i.e. the rulers or influential people of Abyssinia and Madinah, that they would not give shelter to these refugees from Mecca.
- To avenge these injustices, Muslims continued
to put economic pressure on Quraysh after the migration to Medina. The movement
of Quraysh's trade caravans was stopped in the Yathrab region, and the Quraish
always had no reason to fear that their trade caravans would be returned to
Makkah. While they were at a disadvantage when taking distant routes. So these
were all the reasons that eventually led to the Battle of Badr.
1. Give up what
you thought was right.
2. Stick to it
but let the Muslims face all kinds of torture.
3. Fight
cruelty and violence like a man and leave the outcome to Allah.
He (peace be
upon him) chose the third way and the result was the same as it always is, that
is, the truth is victorious and falsehood is defeated humiliatingly. In view of
the sudden and dangerous change of circumstances en route, the Messenger of
Allah ﷺ convened a high military
council to consult the Maidan towards Rizar. In which he mentioned the current
situation. And discussed with the commanders and common soldiers and on this
occasion the Companions of the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace)
expressed full courage, perseverance and determination.
UNPARALLELED COURAGE AND STEADFASTNESS OF THE COMPANIONS
In the council
meeting, the first Muslim of the caravan of truth, the al-Aqeed, the al-Awwal,
Sayyidna Siddique Akbar (RA) expressed his disbelief in a very noble manner and
accepted the command of the Prophet (PBUH) with his eyes and face, and was
ready to obey him with his wealth and life. gone. After that, Farooq Azam (RA)
stood up and he also expressed his gratitude. Later, Muqdad bin Aswad stood up.
ORIGINS
OF WAR POLICY
The details of
this war policy are as follows
When the Imam
of the Prophets, Sayyid al-Murslain, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) reached the place of Zafran, he was informed that the army
of Quraysh was advancing with great splendor so that he could protect his
caravan. This information changed the situation that earlier Muslims were
advancing in pursuit of Abu Sufyan. Now suddenly it became known that the
caravan had escaped and Quraysh was coming to Makkah with an army of Jarrar.
Therefore Huzur Sarwar two scholars ﷺ held a council.
The tribes of
Muhajirin, Ansar, Aus and Khazraj were all invited to join this assembly. When
everyone gathered, Noor informed the Prophet about the situation. And asked.
What is your opinion now?
On this
occasion, Syedna Siddiq Akbar (RA) got up first and spoke very well, then
Hazrat Umar (RA) got up, and he also showed his zeal and passion. Then Hazrat
Muqdad (RA) got up. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him
and grant him peace, go wherever Allah has commanded you. We are with
you."
God! We will
not give you the answer that the Bani Israel gave to Hazrat Musa, peace be upon
him, saying, "Go! You, peace be upon him, and your Lord, peace be upon
him, fight them, we are sitting here."
Rather, we will
say, come, we will fight together with you. By that person! Who has sent you
with the truth. Even if you take us to Barak Al-Ghamad. So we will go with him
and fight with the enemy in his company. Until you reach there."
After hearing
these faith-inspiring words of Hazrat Muqdad, the Holy Prophet (PBUH)
remembered them with good words and prayed for them. After that, he said,
"O people! Give me advice." Upon hearing this, Hazrat Saad bin Mu'adh
stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, it feels like light is shining
on the Holy Prophet." Asking our opinion?" The Holy Prophet (pbuh)
said, "Indeed." On this, Hazrat Saad (RA) said, "Indeed, we have
believed in you, we have confirmed you." We have testified that the
religion that you ﷺ have come with is the
right one and we have made promises to you ﷺ on this.
We are patient
in the heat of battle, we are true when faced with the enemy. We hope that
Allah Ta'ala will show you those achievements from us. Which will cool the
blessed eyes of you ﷺ.
ATTACK STRATEGY:-
So, with the
blessing of Allah, depart. Hearing these mujahidan sentiments of Hazrat Saad,
may Allah bless him and grant him peace, there was no end to the joy of the
Holy Prophet. Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "Go away. Good news for you.
Allah has promised me to dominate one of two groups. By God, I am seeing the
slaughter places of the people (infidels of Makkah). On the occasion of the
Battle of Badr, the defense strategy of the Holy Prophet was to assign officers
to each part of the army. They told him that if the disbelievers of Makkah go
ahead and reach this far, then they should be stoned and when they come closer
than that. So archery should be done. If the polytheists attack all at once,
then let them advance and when you are sure that your archers will fall, then
shoot them with arrows. Using spears when they get closer and attacking with
swords when they are in range.
The purpose of
the Prophet (peace be upon him) with these instructions was that no action
should be taken unwisely or in panic. Rather, whenever there is an opportunity
to use the weapon. He should be dealt with. Don't take the initiative in war by
getting excited. The attack should be made when the order is given.
GHAZWA BADR AND WOMEN'S WAR POLICY:-
On the one
hand, the men showed full display of war strategy, on the other hand, the
Muslim women also actively participated in the Battle of Badr. In the battle of
Badr, the women were not only responsible for dressing after the battle, but
also for the arrows of the archers during the war. The service of carrying them
to the archers and giving water to the warriors was also entrusted to them.
BATTLE OF BADR AND LAW OF WAR:-
Mujahedeen were
also instructed not to kill the women of the enemy. The sermon he gave after
the alignment and inspection. He is unparalleled in eloquence. After Hamdu
Sana, the Prophet ﷺ said Rashad. "The
things that Allah Ta'ala is inviting you to. I also invite you to them and I
prevent you from those things which has forbidden.
The glory of
Allah is very great. You don't know what he will give you if he is happy with
your actions. And what is the reward for controlling the desire of the self?
Allah enjoins truth, loves truth. He rewards those who do good according to
their sincerity. It is with this goodness that he is remembered and due to this
goodness, his ranks are established. Goodness is only one. But according to the
level of sincerity and the strong desire to do it, there is a decrease or
excess in the degrees of reward. Allah has made you the measure of truth, you
know, that goodness will be accepted. Which is for the pleasure of Allah and
your thoughts will be far away in terms of endurance and perseverance in the
battle and suffering injuries during the battle. You will get rid of grief and
salvation in the hereafter will also depend on your endurance. The Prophet of
Allah ﷺ will be present among you.
Who protect from sin and contempt towards low things. We command you the good
and high things. Be ashamed that Allah knows about such things. Which he hates
and is bored by
Watch! What
commands has Allah given you in His Book and some such events has Allah
presented before you, the happy results of which have come before you and with
what blessings He has made you proud. Follow the commandments of Allah with all
your might. Your Lord will be pleased, and by testing your Lord on the occasion
of patience, be worthy of the blessings that Allah has promised you. He will be
proud of his forgiveness. Indeed, his promise is true and his words are true.
Disobedience to it invites great punishment. Indeed, our existence is due to
this (Hay Qayyum) life-giving and our life is passing through the order of this
Qayyum. We expect it. We hold fast to Him, we trust in Him, and to Him we must
return. May Allah forgive us and all Muslims. This sermon of the Prophet ﷺ is a unique example of
eloquence and conciseness of speech, as well as the comprehensiveness of its
objectives. In which those matters were presented before the Muslims. According
to whom they have to live their lives and without whom there is a fear that the
achievement of their life which has given them eternal life will not be just
revenge.
May Allah
forgive us and all Muslims?
This sermon of
the Prophet ﷺ is a unique example of
eloquence and eloquence, as well as the comprehensiveness of his goals in which
those matters were presented to the Muslims. According to whom they have to
live their lives and without whom there is a fear that the achievement of their
life which has given them eternal life will not be just revenge.
Also, the
passion of name and fame, the greed of booty should not lead their hearts and
eyes astray. This occasion was a war and Muslims were being invited to seek the
Hereafter and excel in good deeds. The hearts were being attracted. So that
there is no suspicion of worldliness. At some point, he did not incite Muslims
to commit cruelty, nor did he incite anyone to indulge. Yes, definitely stopped
from stealing lives on the occasion of the sarfaroshya.
In spite of
seeing death with his eyes, he exhorted to remain steadfast on the right path.
With his sermon, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) created
the insight among Muslims that even the greatest sacrifice for the sake of mere
sensuality will not only become weightless. Rather, it will cause disgrace in
this world and the hereafter. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) called jihad for the sake
of Allah as the greatest honor of Muslims and called it the greatest act of
worship. This sermon raised the morale of the Mujahideen of Badr, their courage
and bravery, steadfastness in religion and sacrificing everything in the way of
Allah.
