F.A home Economics/ F.Sc (Pre-Medical) Session 2020-2022 | BS Programs Secession 2020-2024
Applications are invited form the candidates with Matric (Science & Arts) / O Level form Home Economics group and Matric (Science) / O Level (With 3 science subjects including Biology) for F.Sc (Pre-medical).
Students
with a minimum of 50%, marks can apply.
A
candidate willing to apply in both groups must submit a separate form for each
group and complete applications with fee processing challan.
The
first Merit list will be displayed on 15th October 2020 tentatively
and second merit list on 27th October 2020 tentatively.

Successful candidates who will get admission on the basis of District Quota

Message form Vice-Chancellor
I am
honored to be the founding Vice-Chancellor of this esteemed institution which
has over the decades established its own rich legacy. The transition from a
College to a University has open new vistas of expansion. We all, the
administration, faculty, and staff, are set to accomplish the vision and mission
of the University. We wish all successes of our prospective students to this
prestigious institution and assure that they will have excessive learning and grooming
opportunities.
VISION
To
Foster versatile growth of studies through diversified learning based on
teaching and research excellence with a view to grooming them as empowered
independent thinkers, professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers and
compassionate individuals with a high sense of social responsibility, values, harmony
and culture.
MISSION
To create
an environment that keeps the faculty, researchers and students motivated to
given their best in the transference, generation, and acquisition of knowledge
and stay committed to serve the community without any kind of biases.
HISTORY
The history
of UHE dates back to 1955 when it was established as a college to educate women
in various life skills. The college had a partnership with Oklahoma University, The USA to assist in curriculum development and teacher training. Within 10 years
of its foundation, the college started offering MSc, B.Ed, and C.T courses by
the passage of time our scope expanded, and we aimed to groom young women as empowered
individuals capable of joining a vast spectrum of professional fields. The glory
of this institution entered a new stage of 8th February 2017 with
approval of the UHE Act by the Punjab Assembly to make it a public sector University.
However, we started functioning as a university only after the joining of its
first Vice-chancellor, on 31st May 2019. Since then the University
is on a fast track of its growth.
FUTURE PROSPECTS
Graduates
develop an insight into the major discipline comprising Food & Nutrition. Textile
and fashion Design, human Development, and Family Studies, Art and Design,
Family & Consumer Sciences, Hospitality, and Tourism management. By teaching
them practical life skills, these programs aid in improving students’
decision-making ability regarding the individual and family life, nutritional
and clothing needs, utilization of resources, setting up of home s and
environments aesthetically and efficiently in order to meet the ever-changing
life goals. The F.Sc students can either take the exit for a career in Medical
Profession or join the University for these BS Courses.
CAMPUS LIFE
We are
focused on educations that are not just confined to the classroom. On our 17
Acres campus, surrounded by lush green lawns and old trees, the campus houses a
large playground, auditorium, library, and seminar and conference halls besides
academics blocks. Following is a brief overview of the fascinating campus life
at UHE.
TOLERANCE AND RELIGIOUS HARMONY
First
of all, UHE stands for inclusion tolerance, and diversity. The faculty, staff, and administration aim to nurture and environments that provide equals
opportunities to all our students to shine and excel. Our focus is on promoting
tolerance, equity, and diversity while fostering an environment of
intercultural and interreligious harmony and mutual respect.
CO-CURRICULAR
Learning
is no longer restricted to classrooms and to give students holistic experience,
the University provides them with the opportunities to discover and channelize
their unique talents. A number of clubs and societies organize activates,
events competitions, productions, seminars, conferences, and more. To name a few
the annual play, funfair, bonfire, sports day, inter-class/inter-collegiate debates,
posters, flower arrangements, cooking, interior, and furniture design
competitions provide opportunities for students to showcase their talents. Seminars
on marketing and economics, a workshop on plantations, kitchen gardening, and self-defense
for girls are also held to boost their self-confidence.
HOSTELS
We have
two hostels for students at university premises. The accommodation is fully famished,
clean, secure, and guarded. We ensure the provision of hygienic and quality food for
the students. Facilities include CCTV Cameras, internet, TV/Cable, newspaper,
indoor sports, common room, dining area, laundry service, and kitchen. Washrooms
and visitor’s room. Hostel life is a great way to enjoy university life to the
fullest.
SORTS
An active body is as important as an intelligent mind. The university provides students
with ample opportunities to participate in sport. Indoor and outdoor, shorts help
develop physical fitness, confidence, stamina, co-operations, team spirit, and
leadership skills. Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of
sports such as cricket, hockey, badminton, table tennis, athletics, etc.
SIGNATURE CAFÉ
A Newly
built ‘signature Café, adds value to the eating experience by providing quality
edibles at subsidized prices
HEALTH SERVICES
UHE
provides first aid medical facilities to its students in a nursing room by a
professional nurse. A doctor will also be hired to provide professional health
service to the students and staff.
COUNSELLING
Student
counselors will be available on campus in order to guide the students regarding
their mental health and career plans.
LABORATORIES
The University
has a modern state of the art food & nutrition, science, arts, and textile and
IT labs to cater to the needs of all kinds of subjects offered.
LIBRARY
Library
provides reading and research material to the students, professors, and
researchers. The Library contains about 10,000 books by local and foreign authors;
a spacious and well-equipped study hall is also available for reading. The present
facilitates are being upgraded to meet young students’ needs and promote
academic as well as leisure reading culture.
SCHOLARSHIPS
University
and HEC Scholarships will be available to the most eligible students based on
merit and need.
TRANSPORTATIONS
The
University provides a transport facility for its students and staff. Our uses run
on various routes to pick and drop the girls from different areas of Lahore
