Eligibility

 Candidates must have earned an 18 years equivalent to Master/M.Sc/ M.Phil or equivalent degree in the relevant discipline in First Division or with a CGPA of 3.0 out of a maximum of 4.0 (in case, applications transcript show percentage as will as CGPA, CGPA would be considered for eligibility. CGPA on a scale other than 4.00 would be translated accordingly).

 

Admission Process

Ø  The Prospective applicants MUST visit the concerned departments and interact with the faculty member(s) willing to supervise their Ph.D. research before filling the online application form. The name of the supervisor and supervisory committee member is required to be recorded on the application form.

Ø  The application for admission will be available from 24^th August 2020, by logging on the admission.uet. edu.pk

Ø  The printout of the filed application form with the paid bank challan (printed with application) and required documents will be submitted in the Respective Department unit 4th Septembers 2020 during the working day Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m to 3:00 pm

Ø  A subject test prepared by the concerned department s will be conducted for all discipline on Sunday 6^th September 2020 in the Chemical Engineering Department at 10:00 a.m the admit card for the test will be issued by the respective department on receiving the admission application.

Ø  Interview of candidate’s scoring at least 70% Raw score in the Subject Test will be held on Wednesday 9^th September 2020 in respective departments.

Ø  Merit  aggregate formula for Ph.D. admission is (1) 16 years UG score a weight 20% (2) PG score weight 20% (3) subject test score, Wight 30% (4) statement of Purpose weight 10% (5) interview weight 20%

Ø   Admission will be offered on merit  to candidates scoring more than 70% merit aggregate

Ø  Admission will offers will start for Monday 21 September 2020

Ø  Classes will commence from Monday 1st October 2020

Ø  |Few Scholarships are available for a student admitted in center of excellence in water resource engineering (CEWRE)
