Accesses for Old Age People and Females"

HANTAVIRUS

Hantavirus is a group of viruses that rodents carry, mainly
mice and rats. When people inhale dust contaminated with dried urine, mouse
droppings, or saliva, they become ill. Additionally, you can contract it by
biting someone or by touching your mouth, nose, or eyes after handling
contaminated things. With the exception of one uncommon variety found in South
America, it does not transfer from person to person. Pets, mosquitoes, and
other insects won't infect you.

WHAT IT DOES TO PEOPLE:

There are two primary diseases. It causes Hantavirus
Pulmonary Syndrome, or HPS, in North and South America, which causes the lungs
to swell with fluid and make breathing difficult. It causes hemorrhagic fever
with renal syndrome in Europe and Asia, which can lead to bleeding and kidney
damage.

SYMPTOMS:

Symptoms of HPS appear one to five weeks following exposure.
It begins with exhaustion, severe muscle aches, and a fever similar to the flu.
A few days later, as the lungs swell with fluid, you experience severe dyspnea
and coughing. It can quickly become life-threatening. In the US, over 38% of
HPS cases result in death.

TREATMENT:

The hantavirus has no known treatment or antiviral, and the
United States does not currently have a vaccination. In the intensive care
unit, doctors treat it with supportive treatment, which includes oxygen, IV
fluids, and breathing aids. Early arrival at a hospital has a significant
impact.

HOW TO AVOID IT:

Cabin to prevent mice from entering. Avoid vacuuming or
sweeping nests or droppings. Wipe them with paper towels after spraying them
with a bleach solution and letting it sit for five minutes. Food should be kept
in sturdy metal or plastic containers. Before entering a shed or cabin that has
been closed, let it air out for half an hour. Because it can strike healthy
individuals and worsen swiftly, it is uncommon yet well-known. Cleaning cabins,
sheds, or barns where deer mice have been nesting accounts for the majority of
instances in the United States. Do you need the recipe for bleach to safely
clean up rat droppings?
